Hey Y'all (I've lived in the south long enough to say that).  I'm Laura Flaherty, Founder of Guadalupe Birth Co. I'm married to Brenden, we have 2 beautiful children here on earth and 2 in heaven. We live in central North Carolina. Pregnancy and birth has been a continued interest of mine since I had my first baby back in 2016. I was listening to the Catholic Feminist podcast one day on the way to work and the guest for that episode was a doula. When her guest explained what a doula was, a lightbulb went off in my head and I was like "YES THAT'S WHAT I WANT TO DO".  Due to life circumstances I'm not fully able to dive into full on doula work. For a long time I settled on it being something that I'll have to wait to do when my kids are much older.  But here's the thing, when God puts something on your heart it doesn't go away and when you start saying YES to Him, He starts opening doors.  I'm currently working on developing a Catholic based birth course to help you get the most out of your birth and leave it with a stronger connection to God. 

(side note, I currently work as a Pediatric Occupational Therapy Assistant at an outpatient clinic. Kids have always had  a special place in my heart. Becoming a mom has helped me so much in my current career and is springing me into a new one! ) I'm so excited to take this journey with you.
